The Communist Party mourns the passing of Comrade Gurbachan Sooch on January 7, 2017. Comrade Sooch dedicated whole his life to the communist movement. He was a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and joined the Communist Party of Canada when he moved to this country. He was instrumental in establishing and providing leadership to the GTA West Club of the CPC, where he remained a member until he died. He was also a very active member and first General Secretary of the Indo Canadian Workers Association. Comrade Sooch is remembered by many family members, friends and comrades.
