Netanyahu says he will only end war after displacement of Palestinians from Gaza

On May 21, during his first press conference since December 9, Benjamin Netanyahu said he is prepared to end the war but only on conditions that guarantee “Israel’s security.” He said that the core of this condition is the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, which he describes as an implementation of Donald Trump’s plan.

Netanyahu’s conditions for ending the war of extermination in Gaza include the release of all hostages, the complete disarmament of Hamas and exile of the movement’s leaders, and the implementation of a plan to displace Palestinian citizens from Gaza, which he referred to as the “Trump Plan,” describing it as “the correct and revolutionary plan.”

He added that 20 hostages are still alive in the Gaza Strip, while 38 others have been killed.

Regarding the ongoing negotiations, Netanyahu said, “If there is a possibility of a temporary truce in exchange for the release of the hostages, we will consider it.”

He claimed that the “Gideon Vehicles” military operation aims to complete the war’s objectives, saying, “At the end of this operation, all of the Gaza Strip will be under Israeli security control, and Hamas will have been defeated.”

Regarding the issue of allowing aid into Gaza, Netanyahu claimed that Israel was allowing it to prevent a humanitarian crisis that would weaken international support. However, he accused Hamas of “looting” a large portion of the aid and selling the rest at exorbitant prices to fund its “terrorist army.”

He claimed that Israel, in cooperation with the United States, developed a plan to ensure that food aid reaches civilians without falling into the hands of Hamas. This plan includes three phases: Bringing in essential aid; Establishing a special fund for bringing in food supplies; Establishing a safe zone free of Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip, to which residents will be directed.
